Multi-vehicle crash in Victorville leads to drunk driving arrest, injuries – VVNG.com

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 49-year-old resident of Adelanto, Alejandro Sanchezwas arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in personal injury following a multi-vehicle accident in Victorville on Sunday evening.

The incident, which involved three vehicles, occurred on July 7, 2024 at approximately 7:11 p.m. at the intersection of Hesperia and Nisqualli Roads.

Sanchez, the driver of a 2023 silver Kia Forte, is being held on $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 9 in a Victorville courtroom.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez said several occupants of all vehicles were taken to hospitals and the extent of their injuries is unknown.

A 2001 Chevy Tahoe was found lying on its side, blocking the eastbound lanes, while a blue 2006 Scion TC and the Kia were found lying on the sidewalk near a bus stop at the Am-PM gas station greenway.

The eastbound lanes of Hesperia Road were closed for about an hour to allow for the transport of injured people and vehicle recovery.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Victorville Police Department.
