Hospital staff rapes: Hospital staff rapes and blackmails nurse in Gwalior | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A nurse was allegedly raped by a hospital staff member while she was changing clothes in the dressing room of the Gwalior hospital after her shift. The accused threatened to defame her if she spoke out, leading to persistent blackmail and exploitation. Even though the nurse got married, she continued to be harassed. Finally, she gathered all her courage and reported the incident to the police. A case has been registered and the search for the accused is on. The 28-year-old nurse, who has been employed at the hospital since 2020, befriended a male nurse named Akash. In April 2022, while she was changing clothes at the hospital, she was attacked and raped by Akash and silenced by threatening her. After her marriage in 2023, the nurse hoped that the harassment would stop, but Akash did not let up. He continued to blackmail and exploit her, threatening to reveal everything to her husband if she resisted. Fearing defamation, she bore the abuse. In May, when the nurse was eight months pregnant, Akash again attacked her during an ultrasound appointment. He forcibly took her to his room and abused her. When she protested, he beat her brutally even after learning about her pregnancy. The woman then reported the incident to the Jhansi Road police station. The Jhansi Road police confirmed that a case has been registered based on the victim’s complaint. The suspect is currently absconding.
