Homicide investigation underway following quadruple shooting in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is dead and three others injured after a shooting in west Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police confirmed.

Shortly before 9 p.m., detectives arrived at the scene in the 1500 block of Parker Drive and reported an assault with a deadly weapon.


Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to local hospitals.

The paramedic stated that one victim died upon arrival at the hospital. The other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Two other victims were taken to the hospital themselves, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing.

There is no information on what led to the shooting or whether anyone is in custody.
