Three murder investigations on Monday in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are conducting their third homicide investigation in less than a day in west Charlotte Monday night.

On Monday around 9 p.m., Medic responded to a call about a shooting on Parker Drive near Remount Road in west Charlotte. Shortly afterward, Medic confirmed that two people were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot.

Shortly before 10 p.m., CMPD released a statement regarding a homicide investigation at the same address.

WCNC has reached out to CMPD for more details on the investigation. It is currently unknown if a suspect has been identified.

This is the third homicide investigation in Charlotte in less than a day. Early Monday morning, Charlotte police found a man who had been shot next to a broken-down car on Rea Road.

Another fatal shooting occurred Monday evening in north Charlotte on Cinnabay Drive.
