Police chase on Interstate 65 ends, all lanes blocked

INDIANAPOLIS – A police chase blocked all lanes of Interstate 65 Monday night.

The Indiana Department of Transportation traffic map shows that as of 9:51 p.m., all lanes on southbound I-65 near mile marker 102 were closed due to a “traffic hazard.” According to INDOT, the hazard was located between Stop 11 and County Line Roads.

Indiana State Police confirmed that a chase involving a stolen vehicle ended in the area, creating the hazard on the road.

INDOT reported that the hazard was expected to be cleared by 10:30 p.m. At the time of this article’s publication, the road was still closed by police.
