Arrest in connection with the June 23 shooting/Todd Stelly

On June 23, 2024, at approximately 10:55 a.m., OPD responded to a shooting incident near
Church’s Chicken on N Main St. Stephon Reed was found with gunshot wounds and was
Taken to Lafayette General Hospital for treatment.
Following an investigation, Todd Stelly was charged with the following offenses:
Attempted second degree murder
Possession of a firearm or concealed carrying of a weapon by a person convicted of certain
crime
The incident occurred in the 100 block of E Prudhomme Street, Opelousas, LA.

a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and arrest of
the responsible.
