Investigation into shooting at Harmony Plaza I and II apartments in Atlanta

APD said Stanley Shivers was killed on April 6.

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Police Department needs help identifying two persons of interest as it investigates a deadly shooting that occurred in April of this year.

According to APD, Stanley Shivers was killed April 6 at the Harmony Plaza I & II apartments, located at 1870 Myrtle Drive SW. Video released by APD Monday shows two people walking from the complex to an area behind the 1900 block of Plaza Lane SW.

In a 40-second video clip released by the APD, two individuals can be seen walking in the area.

On the day Shivers died, police said they responded to the apartment complex around 1:30 a.m. for a report of a person who had been shot. When they arrived, they found a man — later identified as Shivers — dead at the scene. Homicide investigators have since been looking into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.

There is now a Crime Stoppers reward in the case.

Anyone with information about the case can submit a tip anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online at its website or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Tipsters do not have to give their name to be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
