Body found in Freetown: Latest updates and investigation details

Just before 6 a.m. Sunday morning, 911 received a call about a medical emergency in Freetown. When emergency responders arrived, they found an apparent deceased body in the driveway of this address in the 7500 block of Freetown.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said, “Just before 6 a.m., paramedics from the Vicksburg Fire Department, County Fire and Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call in the 7500 block of Freetown Road. When units arrived on scene, they found a 31-year-old man in the driveway of the home, apparently dead. Deputy Coroner Kelda Bailess arrived on scene along with Chief Investigator Stacy Rollison. No immediate signs were visible that indicated a cause of death, so the body was sent to the state coroner for a full autopsy. Acquaintances of the home reported last seeing him alive in the early morning hours, a few hours before he was discovered in the driveway. We are awaiting autopsy results that may shed light on the cause of death.”

The person was identified as Travis Davis, 31, of Warren County. Davis was reportedly en route to a new job out of state the day his body was found.
