BIXBY, Oklahoma. –

Members of the Bixby Fire Department are saddened after one of their firefighters was killed in a tractor-trailer accident.

The fire department said Fire Lieutenant Nic Guthrie died on July 3.

He worked in the department for more than 20 years.

His wife said he never gave up on anyone and did something he loved.
