2 children killed in crash in Lake County suburb – NBC Chicago

Authorities in suburban Lake County have released the identities of two children who died in a car crash last week.

According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, 16-year-old Antony Tiscareno and 11-year-old Alonso Tiscareno, both residents of Wadsworth, were killed in a car crash Friday evening.

Firefighters and police were called to the scene of a fire in the 1700 block of Grand Avenue in Lindenhurst on Friday evening. When they arrived, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames with four people trapped inside.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, but both Alonso and Antony Tiscareno were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other people in the vehicle were taken to nearby hospitals, police said.

Autopsy results indicate that both children died as a result of blunt force trauma sustained in the accident. An investigation into their injuries is ongoing.
