1 dead after accident on State Highway 64 in Rusk County

RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Rusk County near the Smith County border.

DPS Sergeant Adam Albritton said at the time of the crash on State Highway 64 and FM 15, a white SUV was traveling toward Turnertown and a black SUV was traveling toward Smith County.

The white SUV crossed the center line and reportedly collided head-on with the black SUV.

Albritton said the driver of the white SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the black SUV were reportedly taken to a local hospital.
