Man arrested after stabbing at party in Manteca

(FOX40.COM) — A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death in Manteca on Saturday, Manteca police said.

Police said officers responded to a report of a stabbing at about 8:30 p.m. on West Yosemite Avenue.


According to police, the victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. The suspect left the area but was identified by witnesses.

Police said they did not know if the suspect and the victim knew each other, but both had attended a party at the location and an argument had occurred before the stabbing.

The suspect’s car was later stopped by Milpitas Police and the suspect was taken into custody.

The suspect, a 54-year-old San Jose resident, was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and faces attempted murder charges.
