Buffalo City Council Backs 1% Special Tax on Ballot – Sheridan Media

The Buffalo City Council, at its most recent regular meeting, voted in favor of Resolution No. 1481, which specifies the city’s approval to place an initiative for a one percent specific-purpose sales and use tax on the ballot in November.

The tax, if approved by voters, would fund specific purposes with specific amounts, in three separate proposals, Mayor Shane Schrader explained before the vote.

Johnson County voters will have the choice of rejecting all of the proposals, approving all of them, or choosing a combination of them to approve in the November general election.
