Former teacher and principal of St. John’s School arrested for failure to report child abuse

A former teacher and the principal of St. John’s Episcopal School were arrested for failing to report child abuse.

According to court documents, the two women failed to report a possible case of abuse to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

The documents show that a family contacted Alexander in January because their child claimed that a teacher had touched him inappropriately.

Alexander reported the incident to McMillon, who spoke to assistant Mark Eichorn about the incident. McMillon claimed that “nothing unusual happened.”

McMillon called the child’s parents and told them that Eichorn had only helped the child with his belt.

Neither Alexander nor McMillon notified the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services about the incident.

Alexander and McMillon are required by law to report cases of child abuse within 48 hours because they are employees of a state-licensed facility.

Eichorn was arrested in May on child pornography charges after an internet crime investigation discovered indecent photos of children on his cellphone.
