45-year-old man dies in shooting in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Missouri – A 45-year-old man is dead after a shooting Sunday evening in Berkeley.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday night when Berkeley police responded to reports of shots fired in the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a man in a vehicle with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
