Suspected armed robber killed after attempted rape of victim’s wife

A suspected armed robber was killed after he was caught raping a victim’s wife during a robbery in Asuoabena near Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased, believed to be in his late 20s, was part of a gang of six armed robbers who raided a cattle farm, stole three cows and then returned to commit the sexual assault.

Michael Adofoasa, the Member of Parliament responsible for the region, told OTEC News reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng that the incident occurred on Saturday, July 6, 2024.

Adofoasa explained that the gang had tied up their victims with ropes, but one of them managed to free himself and catch the dead man red-handed.

The ranch manager then killed the suspect with a cutlass.

The police have asked the victims for assistance in the investigation.

Adofoasa mentioned that the incident resulted in one death, one injury and the escape of four suspects.
