Public is asked for help in the search for a missing person

Charlotte, NC – (Monday, July 8, 2024) – Detectives from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are asking the public for help in locating 15-year-old Tanijah Watts.

Ms. Watts was last seen in the 7700 block of Calhoun Street at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024. It is unknown what type of clothing she was wearing at the time. She left the area on foot and her family believes she may be in danger.

Anyone with information on Tanijah’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
