Manu was booked under POCSO sections after it was revealed that he had taken several girls, who had arrived at KCA for training, to Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu and sexually abused them.

Police have registered six cases of sexual abuse by cricket coach against the accused after several complaints of sexual harassment of young girls who were taking part in cricket training were received against the junior coach.

The accused Manu was arrested and is currently in custody.

One of the victims had stated that Manu tried to sexually assault her at the KCA headquarters.

The Commission has sought an explanation from the KCA on the allegations, which has led to several complaints from parents of the victims who have had to endure the atrocities of the coach over a long period of time. There are complaints that the accused coach has taken nude pictures and videos of the girls who are victims in the case.

“The children and their parents are under extreme psychological stress after the incident. After the parents of the first victim filed a complaint, other victims are now coming forward. We are investigating the case in detail. At the moment we cannot reveal any more about this case,” said an official investigating the case.

According to reports, the cricket association had initially refrained from taking action against the coach when the matter came to light. However, no one from the KCA was willing to comment on the matter as the investigation is still ongoing.

Manu was relieved of his post after the allegations came to light and the case was registered.
