Drew McIntyre suspended after Adam Pearce’s WWE Money in the Bank incident | WWE News

In a shocking turn of events, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk were severely punished following their fight at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has decided to suspend Drew McIntyre for assault following a violent altercation between the two.

During Saturday’s event, Drew McIntyre, who had secured victory in the men’s Money in the Bank match earlier in the evening, decided to cash in his contract with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest during a match against Seth Rollins. This unexpected move turned the bout into a Triple Threat Match.

Amidst the chaos, CM Punk made a surprise appearance and attacked McIntyre, going so far as to choke him with a cable. In a fit of rage, McIntyre retaliated after the event, attacking backstage staff and even elbowing Adam Pearce.

Ahead of this week’s episode of RAW, the franchise’s General Manager took strict action against McIntyre and Punk. Adam Pearce fined both wrestlers. He also announced McIntyre’s indefinite suspension for his aggressive behavior toward Pearce.

Commenting on the incident, Pearce said: “The elephant in the room – everyone saw what happened at Money in the Bank and afterward. Therefore, after careful consideration, I hereby fine CM Punk and Drew McIntyre an undisclosed amount for their actions. In addition, I hereby officially suspend Drew McIntyre indefinitely for putting his elbow in my teeth. More on that tomorrow night live on Raw.”

When Punk made his final appearance on WWE SmackDown on June 21, he was attacked and left bloodied by the Scottish celebrity. Punk was from Chicago. “The Second City Saint” stuck to his promise to never let McIntyre win a world title and exacted revenge on McIntyre at Money in the Bank. Punk, who hasn’t competed in a match since the 2024 Royal Rumble, may be on the verge of a comeback, as he stated during the post-Money in the Bank press conference that he was feeling great and ready to go after recovering from his tricep injury.

Will Drew McIntyre continue to appear on WWE RAW after Money in the Bank 2024?

Although Drew has been suspended indefinitely from WWE RAW following his Money in the Bank incident with the General Manager, we might see a surprise appearance from him on Monday Night RAW. McIntyre was visibly upset with how things went for him, which gives us the impression that the Scottish fighter is not going to sit still.
