Mother pays tribute to son who died in motorcycle accident

A mother has paid tribute to her “caring and loving” 21-year-old son who died in a car crash in Lincolnshire last month.

Daniel Scott, from Durham, died when his motorcycle collided with a petrol pump at a service station on the A1 near Colsterworth, police said.

His mother, Amanda Scott, said his death had “hit our family so hard.”

“It’s indescribable. I never thought I would lose my child so young and leave behind a little brother and sister,” she said.

“He was a rock for them and we will all miss him dearly.

“Daniel was a sensible, caring and loving young man who had his whole life ahead of him,” she added.

“He was often quiet, especially around people he didn’t know – but behind that lay an explosive personality and an insatiable passion for life.”

Lincolnshire Police are investigating the accident, which occurred on June 24.

They have asked for witness statements and dashcam footage.
