I 75 85 Atlanta traffic multiple lanes blocked Monday

ATLANTA — UPDATE:Around 6:24 a.m., the tracks appeared to reopen.

A crash involving what appeared to be at least three cars blocked multiple lanes in the middle of I-75/85 South in Midtown Atlanta early Monday morning.

The accident happened near North Avenue. No information was given about any injuries in the accident.

At 6:20 a.m., cameras showed three left and center lanes were blocked, with the leftmost HOV lane open and the right lanes open.

The Georgia Department of Transportation’s 511 website gave an estimated end time for the situation as 6:35 a.m.
