Texan arrested for drunk driving in Waterloo

Waterloo Police reported an arrest for DUI on July 2, 2024. Joseph A. Waltz, 26, of Tool, Texas, was arrested for DUI, DUI with aggravated circumstances, and driving without an ignition interlock.

At around 11:19 p.m., Waltz was allegedly driving recklessly at 80 miles per hour in a 30 mph zone and ignoring stop signs. After being stopped, he was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.24%.

Waltz received a fine and was released. He is scheduled to appear in Waterloo City Court at a later date.
