Metro Nashville Police Investigate Shooting of Teen Near Percy Pride Lake

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police are investigating a shooting in the Dollar General parking lot on Anderson Road near Percy Priest Lake.

Officials on the scene said the shooting involved three juveniles who were in a vehicle at the time. The victim, a man under the age of 18, was struck by gunfire while sitting in the car.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening shortly before 6 p.m. Many details are currently unknown while authorities are still trying to reconstruct the cause of the shooting.

It is currently believed that the teenagers were driving at the time of the shooting and later drove into the store’s parking lot.

The youths involved are said to be friends and are known to live in the area, but their exact behavior leading up to the incident is still under investigation.

The victim was taken to hospital and his condition is currently unknown.

According to their own statements, there are currently no suspects in custody.
