Culver City police arrest two people for drunk driving over holiday weekend

Increased patrols lead to arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol

According to a press release from the Culver City Police Department, Culver City Police arrested two drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on July 5. One driver was stopped for alleged driving under the influence of alcohol, while the other was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Both drivers were issued a ticket without any incidents occurring.

Culver City police announced they will continue to deploy extra officers to search for drivers suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Authorities had urged residents to stay safe over the holiday weekend and avoid driving while impaired.

These increased enforcement measures are funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
