Two dead and 14 injured in Russian attacks last day

At least two people have been killed and at least 14 injured, including a child, in Russian attacks on Ukraine in recent days, regional authorities said on July 8.

In Dnipropetrovsk OblastIn Russian attacks on the city of Nikopol on the evening of July 7, a 10-year-old boy and three women aged 41, 64 and 81 were injured, Governor Serhii Lysak reported.

The governor said residential buildings, single-family homes and farm buildings were damaged and a fire broke out in one of the yards.

In Donetsk OblastOne person was killed and another injured in Russian attacks on Pivnichne, Governor Vadym Filashkin reported.

One civilian was killed by Russia in Hrodivka, one in Illinka and two in Niu-York were injured, the governor said.

Two women aged 50 and 75 were injured shortly after midnight by falling debris from Russian shells. Kharkivsaid Governor Oleh Syniehubov.

A 48-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were hospitalized following a Russian attack on the village of Bohuslavka in Kharkiv Oblast on the afternoon of July 7, the governor reported.

Russian attacks against Kherson Oblast Two civilians were injured, said Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. High-rise buildings, houses, a shop, a gas pipeline, an administrative building, agricultural buildings and a warehouse were damaged in the attacks, he noted.

The Ukrainian armed forces shot down three of the four Kh-101 cruise missiles fired by Russia from Tu-95MS bombers overnight, the Air Force said.

The rockets were reportedly fired over Zhytomyr And Cherkasy Oblasts, but at the time of publication no casualties or damage had been reported from either region.

Russia also attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, the Air Force said.

The Chernihiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia regions were also attacked, but no casualties were reported.
