Directions, date, time and where to watch the events

The 46th annual Houston LGBT+ Pride Festival and Parade will potentially draw hundreds of thousands of people Saturday to celebrate Pride Month.

Pride Month is celebrated annually in commemoration of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City, during which police raided the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village. The raid sparked six days of protests that have since been credited with shaping LGBTQ+ activism in the United States.

Pride Houston 365, a Houston-based LGBTQ+ organization credited with organizing the parade for nearly half a century, said the celebration will take place June 29 in downtown Houston.

Here’s what attendees will need to know ahead of this year’s Houston Pride parade.
