Pilot dead after small plane crashes in remote area north of Eureka

UTAH COUNTY, Utah — A man was killed in a small plane crash in a remote part of Utah County north of Eureka Sunday afternoon. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the NTSB and FAA.

Officials said they received a report of a plane crash from a passerby who noticed the crashed plane and the person inside already dead.

Authorities are unsure which airport the small plane departed from and the pilot’s destination is also currently unknown.
