STORMTRACKER 4 ALARM: It’s getting hotter! | Weather

STORMTRACKER 4 ALARM: Today we are on alert for the alert days Monday and Tuesday, due to excessive heat! From tomorrow through Thursday we are tracking highs of 110°. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with a maximum of 111° possible.

An extreme heat warning is currently in effect for most of southern Arizona through Tuesday night.

The biggest impact over the next few days will be the health risks associated with extreme heat. The risk of heat exhaustion, heat cramps, heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses will increase significantly over the next few days.

It is important to wear light and loose-fitting clothing, drink plenty of water and try to avoid strenuous activity during the hottest periods. Instead, try to schedule your activities for the early morning or evening hours.

Monsoon rains and thunderstorms will return in the middle of the week, and temperatures will drop again slightly by the end of the week.
