Police say hit-and-run driver in Garden Grove injures cyclists, including 3 children – Orange County Register

A driver was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run in Garden Grove on Sunday, July 7. He is accused of striking and injuring a group of bicyclists, including three children, authorities said.

Two adults and three children were biking near Haster Street and Twintree Lane around 7:30 p.m. when they were all struck by a car, according to Garden Grove police Sergeant Nick Jensen. It was not immediately clear if they were crossing the street.

All five victims were taken to a hospital. Two children and one adult are in critical condition, Jensen said.

The driver fled and was later arrested, Jensen said. Information about the driver was not available Sunday evening.
