Elkhart man arrested after allegedly threatening and attacking woman – 95.3 MNC

An Elkhart man was arrested after allegedly threatening and assaulting a woman.

On Tuesday afternoon, July 2, police were called to the Cueramaro Supermarket in the 300 block of Lusher Avenue and arrested 31-year-old Charles Perez Herrera after the victim accused Herrera of hitting and choking the woman and slashing her leg with a knife.

Herrera faces several charges, including false imprisonment and domestic violence with a deadly weapon.

A judge set his bail at $90,000.

The case is currently being investigated by the Elkhart County District Attorney’s Office. mi
