Local police found explosives at the scene of a fire in Rockland

The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating an arson attack in Rockland. Local firefighters and police responded to a fire on the tracks near Pleasant Street around 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Officials say they found several explosive devices on the tracks that they describe as “Molotov cocktail-type incendiary devices.” Anyone with information is asked to contact the Knox Regional Communications Center at (207) 593-9132, extension 4.
