Arizona Promotes Yilber Diaz

The Diamondbacks promoted Yilber Diaz to make his MLB debut Monday night. Diaz had a mediocre minor league record, posting a 4.03 ERA and 1.24 WHIP and going 4-8 in 76 innings. The rookie has spent nearly four seasons in the minor leagues, posting a 4.43 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. He is the Diamondbacks’ No. 16 prospect. The bullpen has been shaky this season, posting a 4.47 ERA and 1.39 WHIP.
