Mentally disabled girl sexually abused

MUZAFFARGARH/DG Khan – A mentally challenged little girl was sexually abused in Alipur Saddar police station area on Sunday. According to police sources, a mentally challenged girl named (S) was playing on the road when a suspected outlaw named Muhammad Ramzan alias Majan took her to a deserted room and sexually abused her. The suspected outlaw managed to escape after the heinous crime. Police have registered the case and started searching for the outlaw.

PFA confiscates 200 kg of expired snacks

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has seized 200 kg of expired snacks in a special drive launched on Sunday. As per the special instructions of Muhammad Asif Javed, Director General, Punjab Food Authority (PFA), the food safety teams are making every effort to provide quality food to the masses. In this regard, the Muzaffargarh food safety team conducted a special drive and seized 200 kg of expired snacks. The expired snacks were meant to be sold to various shops in the district, PFA sources said. The supplier has been fined Rs 30,000 and the seized snacks have been disposed of on the spot. In a statement by Muhammad Asif Javed, Director General, PFA, the PFA is tightening the noose around the adulterators and is cracking down on them under a zero tolerance policy.

Man arrested for torturing a woman

Dera Ghazi Khan police claimed to have arrested a suspected outlaw for torturing a woman on Sunday. According to police sources, a video in which the suspected outlaw is seen scratching a woman’s nose with a knife went viral. District Police Officer Syed Ali immediately took notice and ordered the immediate arrest of the outlaw. A team from Shah Sadar Deen police station led by SHO raided the police station and managed to arrest Safdar, the son of Sultan.

Bandits kill workers while trying to steal a motorcycle

A labourer was shot dead by bandits while trying to steal a motorcycle near Gul Zameen settlement in Dera Ghazi Khan. According to Darahma police station, a labourer named Mushtaq was on his way home when two armed persons tried to intercept him. Mushtaq Patafi resisted to thwart the attack. In the meantime, the bandits opened fire. He died. The police in charge is investigating the incident.

Two dead, 14 injured when delivery truck rolls over

Two people were killed and 14 others sustained serious injuries when a van overturned and fell into a ditch at Steel Bridge on Sunday. According to military police sources, the tourists’ family was returning from Fort Munro resort town in a van when it overturned and fell. Two people died and 14 others were seriously injured. The tourists’ family hailed from Alipur and Jatoe tehsils. All the tourists are close relatives. The seriously injured were taken to Allama Iqbal Teaching Hospital DG Khan.
