Triple shooting in Downey riverbed under investigation – NBC Los Angeles

Downey police are asking the public for help in obtaining information about a fatal triple shooting that occurred in a local riverbed.

Downey police said officers responded to a call of shots fired just before 9 p.m. Saturday. Police were deployed to the west side of the San Gabriel Riverbed and the 105 Freeway.

At the crime scene, officers found three men with gunshot wounds. The victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Authorities described the violence as an isolated incident. The department did not disclose whether a shooter is being sought in connection with the shooting.
