West Seattle Blog… | FERRY ALERT: Triangle Route will be reduced to one boat tonight

Due to another staffing shortage, the state-run Fauntleroy-Vashon-Southworth ferry service will be limited to one boat tonight. Here is the announcement:

Due to a lack of personnel, the M/V Kitsap will be taken out of service after its departure from Fauntleroy to Vashon at 6:15 p.m. The route will continue to be served by a boat according to Schedule #1 for the remainder of the operating day.

This means that the following departures are cancelled:

6:40 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. from Vashon to Southworth
7:05 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. from Southworth to Vashon
19:55 and 20:50 Fauntleroy to Vashon

And as a reminder, starting Wednesday next week, the unscheduled third boat on this route will be out of service for up to two days, due to a domino effect of a boat on another route being out of action for maintenance. This is also explained on the WSF bulletin page.
