Police respond to ‘possible weapons incident’ at Ocean Lakes campground

Horry County, SC (WPDE) — According to a press release from Horry County Police, they are investigating a “possible weapons incident” at Ocean Lakes Campground.

Officials said the impact on potentially affected units was assessed out of an abundance of caution, while others outside the immediate area were asked to avoid the area until further notice.

The press release further states that community members and visitors in the area are asked to follow the instructions of officials on site.

A team from ABC 15 is on its way to the scene of the accident and will provide updates when possible.
