Atlanta Braves outfielder Eli White hits first home run of the season

Greenville native and Clemson alum Eli White went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored for the Atlanta Braves in Sunday’s win over the Phillies. White hit Tyler Phillips in the sixth inning for his first major league home run since June 12, 2022, when he played for the Rangers. “It was a dream come true, I grew up a Braves fan in South Carolina, so I’ve always dreamed of moments like this,” White said. White got his first two hits of the season in just his third start. His recent playing time may not last long, as Ramon Laureano (oblique) is expected to return soon.
