Southwest Missouri fire chief arrested for drunk driving | KSNF/KODE

VERNON COUNTY, Missouri – The fire chief of a southwest Missouri city is accused of drunken driving.

According to an arrest report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, troopers arrested 51-year-old Michael “Troy” Denney, chief of the Nevada Fire Department.

Denney was arrested shortly before 12:30 a.m. on July 5.

According to authorities, Denney was taken to the Nevada Police Department, where he was booked and subsequently released.

MSHP said they have forwarded the information to the Vernon County District Attorney, who will decide whether to file charges.
