1 dead after shooting in Steelyard Commons parking lot

CLEVELAND – A man is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of Steelyard Commons Sunday morning, Cleveland police said.

At approximately 4:15 a.m., officers responded to reports that a man had been shot and were dispatched to the 3300 block of Steelyard Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Cleveland police said their initial investigation revealed the incident occurred during a “planned meeting.”

No further details about the shooting were released. The incident remains under investigation.
