School principal in Karachi allegedly raped 10-year-old student

KARACHI:

The headmaster of a school in the Moach Goth district of Karachi is said to have raped a ten-year-old student.

According to police officials, a case was registered at the Mochko police station after the victim’s father filed a complaint.

The first information report (FIR) filed by the mother states that the headmaster is teaching her three daughters. On June 21, the headmaster called and insisted that the daughters visit him to receive Eidi. Despite initial refusal, the mother finally sent her daughters due to his persistence.

When the victim returned home, she told her mother that the principal took her to another room and raped her. She also said that the principal threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the incident.

The girl was examined by a doctor and police are currently awaiting the results. Following the incident, the victim’s parents and residents protested on Hub River Road and demanded the arrest of the suspect. The protest caused significant traffic disruption in the area.

Last month, investigations led to the gruesome discovery of the bodies of a woman and her two children in a drain in Mauripur.

Police announced that autopsies revealed that the children had been raped by their abuser and their bodies had then been thrown into the drain.
