Mayor Brown Reminds Us of the Importance of Throwing Out Trash

According to the mayor and the city’s Department of Public Works, someone dumped a large amount of trash next to Elim Christian Fellowship in Buffalo, and DPW workers had to remove it.

Although they did this quickly before church services began, the mayor reminded residents that it costs the community more money.

Dumping is illegal and city residents can go to the East Side Transfer Station (793 S. Ogden St.) and drop off their trash for free. Residential drop-off is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Residents must have a driver’s license and utility bill to prove residency.
