Accident in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood leaves one dead – KIRO 7 News Seattle

SEATTLE – Police are investigating a fatal crash in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood that left one person dead.

On Friday at around 10:46 p.m., Seattle Police responded to reports of an accident at the intersection of 15th Avenue West and West Garfield Street.

When officers arrived, they found two cars with significant damage.

The Seattle Fire Department confirmed the death of a man at the scene.

The driver of the other car was evaluated and taken to Harborview Medical Center for medical treatment.

The driver showed no signs of impairment, police said.

According to Seattle Police, the Toyota Corolla was found to be traveling north on 15th Avenue West at a high rate of speed when it slid sideways, collided with a Toyota Camry, and rolled onto its side before coming to a stop.

With the assistance of the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), the area was closed while police completed their investigation.

No information was given about the driver’s condition.
