Beryl Live Updates: Storm set to strengthen into hurricane before making landfall in Texas

Tropical Storm Beryl is gaining strength as it passes over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane later Sunday as it approaches the Texas coast. The storm, which has caused significant damage in parts of Grenada, Jamaica and the Yucatan Peninsula, is expected to make landfall in Texas near Matagorda, north of Corpus Christi and south of Galveston, before dawn Monday as a Category 1 hurricane, intensifying as it moves inland.
