Firefighters extinguish fire in commercial building in Dayton; cause under investigation

UPDATE @ 11:26 am:

Firefighters battled a fire at a commercial building in Dayton early Sunday morning.

At approximately 3:20 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the 330 block of Vermont Avenue for a report of a fire in a commercial building.

When firefighters arrived on scene, smoke could be seen rising from a one-story commercial building, according to Brad French, deputy chief of the Dayton Fire Department.

The emergency services quickly entered the building and extinguished the fire.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
