1 dead and 2 injured in argument that ended in shootout near Manatee County nightclub

BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) – One man is dead and two other people were injured after a shooting near a Bradenton nightclub, officials said.

The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said it responded to a shooting near the Touch of Class Lounge on 14th Street West around 2 a.m. Sunday.


When officers arrived on scene, they found a 30-year-old man in the parking lot surrounded by hundreds of people. The man had been shot and was pronounced dead as paramedics attempted to resuscitate him.

Deputies said two other victims were shot and taken to local hospitals. They are expected to survive.

According to investigators, an “argument between a group of people” began in the club and spilled over into the parking lot. This argument escalated into a shooting.

So far, investigators have identified several suspects in the case, but no one has been arrested yet.
