Nighttime shooting on Roetzer Street

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo police responded to multiple incidents in Buffalo last night.

Around midnight, police were seen investigating Roetzer Street, between Walden Avenue and Genesee Street.

A 2 On Your Side photojournalist was able to see part of the street cordoned off with tape, and at least one police officer was seen searching the ground with his flashlight.

Detectives said a 19-year-old woman was shot in the foot after a fight broke out at a large block party.

The woman was taken by car to Sisters Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, a Buffalo police spokesman said.
