Public help sought in identifying suspect in Broadway shooting

BROOKLYN, NY—The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in an incident of reckless endangerment that occurred within the jurisdiction of the 83rd Precinct. The incident occurred early Friday morning at approximately 3:15 a.m. outside 913 Broadway.

An unidentified man reportedly fired several shots, hitting the windshield of a 2023 Chevrolet and the glass fronts of neighboring buildings at 911 and 912 Broadway. After the shooting, the suspect fled in a vehicle heading south on Broadway.

The person being sought is described as a dark-skinned man, approximately 5’8″ tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red durag, black tank top, blue jeans and white sneakers. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact authorities.

  • Atlantic City woman arrested after multiple car collisions

    ATLANTIC CITY, NJ— The Atlantic City Police Department has reported the arrest of 32-year-old Taquanda Roberts following a series of car accidents that occurred while she allegedly attempted to evade the impoundment of her vehicle.

    The incident began on July 4, 2024, at approximately 1:34 p.m., when Officer Kenlyn Johnson was called to the 700 block of Maryland Avenue to resolve a dispute over the repossession of a vehicle. According to police, Roberts was attempting to prevent her vehicle from being towed when she abruptly got into her vehicle during the argument.

    Roberts reportedly drove onto the sidewalk and struck a parked car. She then hastily grabbed her children and attempted to flee. Despite Officer Bryan Victoria-Garcia’s orders to exit her vehicle, she accelerated and subsequently struck another vehicle containing a woman and her four children, ages one to ten.

    Roberts continued to flee the scene of the accident, but was later arrested by Detective Christopher Dodson without further incident. All persons involved in the accidents were treated at the scene by medical personnel.

    Taquanda Roberts is now facing charges in connection with this incident. The details of her trial are pending.

  • Fatal hit-and-run accident in Newark under investigation

    NEWARK, DE— Delaware State Police are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred yesterday afternoon on Salem Church Road that left a 57-year-old Newark man dead.

    The collision occurred at approximately 4:14 p.m. as the victim was walking northbound on the right shoulder of the road, just north of Michaels Lane. An unidentified white vehicle, also traveling northbound, entered the shoulder for unknown reasons and struck the pedestrian. The vehicle then fled the scene and continued northbound.

    The victim was immediately taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are not releasing his name until family members have been notified.

    Investigators are looking for a white vehicle with suspected damage to the right front and are asking anyone with information about the accident or the vehicle involved to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.

  • Baltimore police seize drugs in Southwest District

    BALTIMORE, MD— Earlier today, Baltimore Police responded to a tip about possible drug trafficking involving a minor in the 1700 block of Lemmon Street. Although no subjects were found dealing drugs upon arrival, officers conducted a thorough search of the area.

    During their investigation, a significant quantity of Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) was discovered in a vacant building on the same block. The drugs were seized and handed over to the Evidence Control Unit (ECU) for further examination.

    Baltimore police have praised officers for their diligent efforts to address public concerns and potentially prevent further criminal activity. The investigation is ongoing.
