Following the horrific car accident in which the 24-year-old cornerback died along with his former high school teammates Anthony Lytton Jr. (24) and Isaiah Hazel (23) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, the news site published pictures of the tragic aftermath, showing Jackson’s completely destroyed Dodge Charger.

On Saturday morning, police responded to reports of a three-car crash. Officials say a silver Infiniti collided with the Dodge Charger while attempting to change lanes at a high rate of speed. As the silver vehicle crashed into the NFL player’s car, his Dodge Charger involuntarily swerved toward a Chevy Impala before crashing into trees on the side of the road. (See pictures here)

A photo of the aftermath found by TMZ shows the late sports star’s car being loaded onto a tow truck. The horrifying sight leaves his car completely unrecognizable as it appears completely flattened, with the rear of the vehicle separated from what was once a single unit.

Another picture of the rear half revealed an even more nightmarish sight: the totally destroyed part of the car revealed the bodywork, while the rest had apparently been torn apart after the fatal impact.

While Jackson and Hazel were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, Lytton died in a nearby hospital where he was taken to recover.

The Minnesota Vikings had shortlisted Jackson just a few months ago in the fourth round of the NFL Draft from the University of Oregon.

The team’s GM, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, mourned his loss in a statement that said, “I am heartbroken by the loss of Khyree. When we got to know him leading up to the draft, it was clear what goals Khyree wanted to achieve both professionally and personally… My thoughts are with Khyree’s family and friends, those who played with and coached him in college, and his teammates and coaches here at the Vikings.”
