Girl sexually abused in Aylesbury

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault by touching in Aylesbury.

Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Saturday (29 June), a teenage girl was inappropriately touched on the neck, arm and thigh by a man on Bourg Walk – also known as Iron Bridge – at the beginning of Thame Road.

A citizen approached her and asked the victim if she knew the perpetrator, to which she replied no. The citizen then asked the perpetrator to leave.

The perpetrator is described as a white man in his late 40s to early 50s, approximately 5’7″ tall and wearing a navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans and black and white Nike sneakers.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Sarah Simpson said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone who saw a man matching the description in the area at the time to come forward.”

“It is said to have been a very busy and very hot day with lots of people and families.

“If you saw anything, please tell us.

“I would also like to speak to the citizen, a man who intervened when he observed this incident.

“Please get in touch by making a report online or calling 101 quoting reference number 43240307547.

“You can also report details anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
