School principal allegedly raped 10-year-old in Karachi

KARACHI: In a shocking incident, the headmaster of a school allegedly raped a ten-year-old student in the Moach Goth area on Saturday.

Following a complaint by the victim’s father, a case was registered at the Mochko police station, police officials said.

The father stated in the First Information Report (FIR) that three of his daughters are receiving lessons from the school principal.

“The principal called on June 21 and asked to send our daughters. He said he wanted to give them Eidi. However, when I refused, the principal insisted and I sent my daughters,” the FIR said.

The girl was also examined by a doctor after the incident. Police said they are waiting for the report.

The victim’s parents and local residents protested against the suspect’s failure to arrest on Hub River Road. The protest caused traffic disruptions.

In a similar incident last month, the principal of a private school was arrested for torturing and harassing a student. He was accused of attempting to rape a Grade 10 student at the school near Orangi Town.

The school principal had been sending obscene messages and harassing the victim for several days.

During the incident, he allegedly pointed the surveillance camera at the ceiling and coerced the student into adultery, threatening to fail her entrance exam and ruin her future if she did not cooperate.
